Pecan Pie Bars Recipe 

These pecan pie bars have a chewy texture and a sweet flavor. Best for giving as presents over the holiday season.

– 3 cups all-purpose flour – ½ cup white sugar – ½ teaspoon salt – 1 cup butter or margarine – 1 ½ cups light corn syrup – 1 ½ cups white sugar – 4 large egg – 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted – 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract – 2 ½ cups chopped pecan

Turn the oven's temperature up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175°C). Give a 10 x 15-inch jellyroll pan a light greasing.

In a large bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. One cup butter makes crumbs. Apply ingredients to pan and press hard to produce crust. Preheated oven, 20 minutes.

In a large dish, mix corn syrup, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs, 3 tablespoons melted butter, and vanilla. Evenly spread filling on baked crust. Mix in chopped pecans.
