Candied Almonds Recipe

Candied almonds make wonderful gifts and toppings for salads, yogurt, and more. They require few ingredients and are easy to make! 

– 1 large egg white – 1 tablespoon water (15 ml) – 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract – 1 pound raw almonds (464 grams) – 1 cup granulated sugar (200 grams) – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon – ½ teaspoon salt



Heat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Put parchment paper on a large baking sheet. Mix the egg white, water, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until foamy. 


Stir the almonds into the egg white mixture until coated. Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a separate basin. Stir the cinnamon sugar mixture into the almonds until coated.


Place almonds in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 40–45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Leave the baking sheet to cool completely after removing from the oven
